Two scrapbooks primarily about Lester Leo Sweetland. v. 1 consists of clippings concerning Sweetland's career with the Philadelphia Phillies and his trade to the Chicago Cubs. v. 2 consists of clippings concerning Sweetland's career as well as the following items of note: congratulatory telegrams, player release or transfer notices, signed contract to play for the Montreal Baseball Club, memo to the Chicago National League Club players stating compensation for 1931 World Series and City Series, pamphlet for the Chicago National League Ball Club 1931 training trip. It is possible that Mrs. Sweetland compiled the scrapbooks.
